Before You Interact
Tone tags are very useful to me! i would appreciate they be used when communicating with me, however do not feel pressured to use them all the time. if the tone of something isn't clear to me, i will ask!-English is the only language i am fluent in-I swear very often, make inappropriate jokes, type in caps a lot, keyboard spam, use emoticons like :3, ^^, <3, etc. very often, and in general messaging i type in all lowercase. if any of this bothers you, please let me know when talking directly to me and i will do my best to avoid certain things when talking with you!-Please do not seriously flirt with me unless we have an already established close friendship. i am aroacespec and possibly hyperromantic from trauma, and i do not like being pursued quickly. i have a hard time trusting my feelings, and as such, need lots of time to figure out what it is i'm feeling. please respect this. jokingly flirting with me if we are friends is totally okay!-I do not like small talk and dry conversations, especially if i am being reached out to first. i absolutely love talking to people, and i love making friends, however i can't be your friend if we have nothing to talk about! do we have a common interest? tell me! i will happily talk about it with you!
having something to work with and talk about makes me way less anxious in conversations. i try to always remain open and friendly for people to come talk to, but understand i am a rather anxious person and social interaction is hard for me sometimes. do not let this deter you from talking to me though! just keep all of this in mind <3
